As a Fare Enforcement Officer - MetroLink in St. Clair County, Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position.
Job Responsibility:
Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify access permissions when required, and communicate clearly with the public regarding site rules, directions, and/or reporting procedures
Complete routine reports, activity logs, and incident documentation, and support site operations by observing for security-related issues and relaying information in a timely manner
Provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region
Duties will include post security until relieved
Requirements:
Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or possess a college degree
Have 1+ year of security-related experience
Be 21+ years of age
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
Each candidate must have achieved at least one of the following to qualify: Military service that included law enforcement or security duties (e.g., military police, elite military forces, and combat arms) or support in a combat zone
Eight years' active service in any military branch
Bachelor's degree in law enforcement or criminal justice
Associate degree in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
Graduation from a certified public safety academy in law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighting
