The Dispatcher’s primary responsibilities are to acknowledge and dispatch for alarms by using state of the art situation management software. The Dispatcher will also take incident reports over the telephone, conduct preliminary investigations on reports, handle access control issues for an entire corporation, maintain compliance of regulated locations, and immediately report violations to management. This position must be able to multi-task and perform computer data entry while callers are on the phone. The Dispatcher will know all site-specific policies and procedures, and implement emergency response activities as appropriate, while providing superior customer service. The Dispatcher is responsible for fulfilling a variety of needs including all areas of monitoring access, access control, and execution of the systems.
Job Responsibility:
Alarm monitoring and response
sound alarms or escalate to police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons as needed
Monitor CCTV cameras, dispatch Professional Security Officers to respond to irregularities
Coordinate after-hours employee escorts to their vehicles, as requested
ensure Security Professional response to provide customer assistance
Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
Answer phones

use multi-channel communications, log all calls
Operations support
routing of call information to the appropriate units for handling
Receive and respond to emergency and non-emergency calls from employees, outside vendors, law enforcement, and the security field force via telephone, automated alarm monitoring and radio systems
Process and evaluate information received from all available sources, and respond with the appropriate communication and dispatch procedures
Make emergency notifications as necessary
Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
Prior security experience, preferably as a dispatcher in law enforcement, 911 call center, alarm response center, or similar environment
Ability to dispatch and have clear concise communications on radio, in person or communication logs
Basic understanding of 10 codes and radio etiquette
Exceptional customer service and communication skills
Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
Ability to handle crisis situations efficiently
Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public
Able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors

Nice to have:
Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
Eight (8) or more years of service in any military branch
Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
