Job Description:

I'm working with a global Security & Technology business in Sheffield who are looking to bring a Security Estimator into their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong experience in security estimating who wants to join an innovative, technically strong environment with a healthy mix of office work and on‑site presence.

Job Responsibility:

  • Producing accurate, commercially sound estimates and specifications for projects covering CCTV, security systems, access control and intercom solutions
  • Designing, estimating and producing full job specifications for security-related projects
  • Carrying out site visits to assess requirements and sign off completed works
  • Reporting on the financial performance of projects
  • Coordinating with internal teams including Project Managers, Coordinators and Warehouse
  • Forward-planning material supply and placing orders accordingly
  • Ensuring all work is carried out with a customer-centric approach
  • Maintaining strong technical knowledge of modern security and access control technologies

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within security estimating
  • Strong working knowledge of C&D design and build SMATV
  • Strong working knowledge of Triax, Whyte, DSCR and line-fed systems
  • Strong working knowledge of CCTV, security, access control and intercom solutions
  • Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into accurate quotations
  • Confident communication skills

  • Support the Sales Team in customer-facing ROI (Return on Investment) discussions and technical presentations
  • Understanding construction divisions as they relate to electronics safety and security for RFP responses.
