We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Security Engineer to join our team. This dual-role position is ideal for a recent graduate who is eager to start a career in information security, focusing on operational defense and core access management within our multi-cloud environment. You will be essential in maintaining security controls and ensuring proper access across our platform.
Job Responsibility:
Alert Triage and Initial Response: Monitor our SIEM dashboard for incoming alerts from the multi-cloud production environment and user endpoints. Perform initial triage and execute basic investigative steps following established security playbooks
Endpoint Monitoring: Monitor user endpoint security tools for anomalies and assist in ensuring security agents are functioning correctly across all user devices
Compliance Support: Contribute to compliance efforts (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001) by assisting in the documentation and reporting related to SIEM alerting, daily compliance checks, and helping to validate control coverage
Access Provisioning and Servicing: Process and fulfill basic IAM tickets to grant, modify, or revoke user access to applications and resources, adhering strictly to the principle of least privilege
Automation Assistance: Assist in the development and maintenance of basic scripting and automation to streamline repetitive identity and access management procedures and reporting processes
User Lifecycle Support: Assist with routine tasks related to user account creation, disabling, password management, and account lockouts within identity stores
User Support: Act as a first point of contact to answer common security and access-related questions posed by employees, escalating complex issues to senior engineers
Requirements:
1–3 years of experience in Security Operations, IAM, or a technical System Administration role
A degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience is required
Practical understanding of the SIEM lifecycle (triage, investigation, remediation) and IAM principles (RBAC, Least Privilege, MFA)
Hands-on familiarity with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and comfort navigating Linux environments
Ability to read and write basic scripts (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell) to automate workflows and API integrations
Strong documentation skills and a disciplined approach to following (and improving) security playbooks and compliance controls (SOC 2/ISO 27001)
Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work well with cross-functional teams
