This role exists to protect Unilever’s people, assets, operations and brands by leading market-level security operations and acting as a trusted security advisor to business leaders across Brazil and River Plate. Reporting to the Market Security Lead, you will ensure that security risks are identified, assessed and mitigated in line with the Global Security Framework, while tailoring solutions to local threat levels. The role plays a critical part in enabling safe business operations, resilient supply chains, secure events, protected logistics and effective incident management.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and deliver the market security plan, including threat assessment, risk mitigation and resource allocation, in alignment with Global Security standards
Act as the trusted security advisor to market and country leadership, providing timely and actionable security guidance
Oversee in‑market security operations, including travel security, executive movement, logistics and on-the-road security
Support incident management and crisis response, including kidnap & extortion, natural disasters, civil unrest and major security events
Partner with cross‑functional teams (HR, Legal, IT, Finance, Quality, Brand Protection, Business Integrity) to embed security into business decisions
Lead and coordinate investigations, ensuring lawful and compliant application of investigative practices
Conduct security risk assessments for sites, new projects, major refurbishments and changes in threat levels, applying Security by Design principles
Manage and review security contracts, ensuring cost‑effective and robust security solutions
Build and maintain strong networks with law enforcement agencies, third‑party security providers and regional security peers
Deliver security reporting, intelligence briefings, training and continuous improvement initiatives across the market
Requirements:
Proven experience in a corporate security role, with responsibility for people, assets and operations
Demonstrated experience in a significant leadership or coordination role
Fluent English (oral and written)
Fluent or native Portuguese (oral and written)
Strong IT skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
Nice to have:
Spanish language skills (basic to intermediate)
Experience in designing and delivering security or risk-related training
Professional security certification (e.g. ASIS CPP, PSP or PCI) or willingness to obtain certification within two years
