To deliver ATLAS UK regulatory functions under HMG’s UK Gov’s 007 Security policy. A cross-division and cross-business role that will provide team leadership, technical expertise and trusted advice on a range of security related operational matters.
Job Responsibility:
Responsible for the company’s security measures and information assurance, ensuring confidentiality, integrity and availability of information and assets. Follows a risk-based approach, implementing pragmatic and proportionate measures to comply with legislative, regulatory and customer requirements whilst ensuring that business goals and objectives can be met: Personnel – Vetting, Induction, Training and Awareness, Supervision and Aftercare, Investigations and Reporting
Physical – Identifying and advising on measures to meet operational requirements, supervision and oversight of all physical security controls and control of secure storage facilities for the site to include the manned guard service contract
Contract – ensuring enterprise / project compliance and managing security into the supply chain
Information – managing all aspects of classified information from creation through to destruction. Includes the safeguarding, accounting, muster, audit, transmission and destruction of assets
Supply Chain Security – Work with ATLAS UK PSC & Procurement to manage ATLAS UK supply chain in accordance with NPSA, NCSC & MOD requirements
Controls – Author of security policies & processes, audits, advice, reporting, incident investigation and response
Represent the company at government and industry security forums, contributing to collective defence sector resilience
Process Owner for all non-IT related security policies and procedures within the company (Winfrith only)
Investigating suspected breaches of security
Manage & oversee ATLAS UK Crypto holdings in accordance with the MOD policy JSP 490
Management and supervision of the Security Team – line management responsibility including recruitment, performance management, training and development plans
Compliance with ATLAS UK security policy and processes
Developing and implementing ATLAS UK’s security strategy
Requirements:
Degree in Security & Risk Management / Business Management or previous work related experience with the security domain
Impressive, demonstrable track record and skills/experience gained within a similar position at a similar level
Understanding of the defence market, particularly maritime products, custom and practice for development and procurement cycles
Comprehensive understanding of UK GovS 007 Security
Strong leadership and management skills and experience
Credible and confident communicator (written and verbal) at all levels
Strategic thinker with the ability to influence at a senior level
Strong analytical and problem solving ability
Ability to monitor and interpret emerging threats, geopolitical developments, and defence sector trends
Competent to act as the day-to-day liaison with a number of external agencies in respect of our obligations as a FSC contractor including, but not limited to the allocated Government Security Advisor, other members of DE&S PSyA, IVCO, UKSV, WARP, NCSC & DAIS
Able to provide advice on, and implement security, within an established company in accordance with UK GovS 007
Experience delivering security education and awareness programmes including inductions, training and briefings
Experience of managing International Visits for outward and inward visits
Knowledge of contract SALs, manage responses and flow down to the supply chain
Ensure that protectively marked material is handled in accordance with the requirements of the UK GovS 007 Security for documentation up to and including TS
Existing participation in government security forums, and industry working groups
Highly motivated, enthusiastic and project delivery focussed
Support to Senior Management Team in relation to matters of Security matters with a proactive and supportive attitude to finding business solutions
