Job Description:

The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment at the SNHU Arena during overnight hours. This role includes monitoring the facility, enforcing security policies, responding to incidents, and ensuring the protection of staff, guests, and property.

Job Responsibility:

  • Patrol the arena interior and exterior on a regular basis during overnight hours
  • Monitor security cameras, alarms, and access points
  • Enforce arena security policies and procedures
  • Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies
  • Complete incident reports and shift logs accurately and thoroughly
  • Secure doors, gates, and restricted areas
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and local emergency services when required

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior security experience preferred, especially in large venues or facilities
  • Ability to remain alert and professional during overnight shifts
  • Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with no supervision
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
  • Basic computer skills for report writing
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods
  • Ability to climb stairs and patrol large areas
  • Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations

Nice to have:

  • Prior security experience preferred, especially in large venues or facilities
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
