Job Description

Working as part of the Global Security Services organization, the role of Security CE involves delivery of both transactional and subscription projects to strategic customers throughout the EMEAR theatre. Projects vary considerably between security reviews; design and implementation of Cisco security products; and involvement as part of virtual multi-discipline teams as the security lead in large-scale design and implementation projects.

Job Responsibility

  • Take the lead role in customer support activities, possibly managing less experienced engineers or partner resources to ensure a successful outcome to the support activity
  • Responsibility for delivery of subscription activities (direct support at the customer premises) with direct engagement with the end customer
  • Lead implementation of recommendations based on best practice on large infrastructure, and develop procedures to minimize service impact
  • Work as part of a team of highly skilled engineers working daily at the end customer premises to support its network infrastructure and representing Cisco

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of security experience is mandatory of which at least 8 must be on network security as deep and primary technical focus
  • Expert level internetworking troubleshooting in a large-scale network environment using security products from Cisco and ideally, other vendors
  • Very strong technical account liaison and customer management / consulting skills are mandatory
  • Deep technical knowledge on supporting, troubleshooting and managing the following Cisco security solutions: Cisco ISE (migration from ACS to ISE, Wireless and Wired environments, profiling, posturing and integrations with other security solutions via pxgrid)
  • Cisco NGFW (FTD and ASA software) for network Firewall and VPN
  • Expert level knowledge in network security including design and configuration of Cisco routers, firewalls and a wide range of security products is required

Nice to have

  • Other technologies such Stealthwatch are desirable
  • University/college degree equivalent is expected and an advanced degree is strongly preferred
  • Other beneficial qualifications are PNSE, Fortinet NSE, CISSP, TOGAF, CCDE, CEH, CISA and CISM, or other relevant security qualifications such as those from Check Point, Netscreen, Symantec etc.
