Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Security Analysis Specialist Advisor to join our team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US). Approximately 220 database servers across a mixed environment including on-premises SQL Server and AWS RDS. Database count is to be determined during the discovery phase. User access may be granted via Active Directory task groups or through direct database-level permissions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Discovery & Inventory — Enumerate all user accounts, Active Directory task groups, and direct access assignments across all in-scope servers and databases
  • Access Analysis — Research and evaluate each access assignment to determine whether it aligns with the user's or group's business role
  • identify over-privileged, unused, or inappropriate access
  • Stakeholder Engagement — Work directly with affected users, managers, or departments to validate current access needs and identify appropriate alternatives where access does not meet least-privilege standards
  • Remediation — Implement approved access changes, including modifying or removing permissions, restructuring group memberships, or recommending alternative access solutions
  • Documentation & Reporting — Deliver a comprehensive report including: current-state access inventory, findings and risk assessment, recommended and implemented changes, and a final permissions matrix reflecting the remediated state

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with SQL Server and AWS RDS permission structures
  • Familiarity with Active Directory group-based access models
  • Understanding of least-privilege access principles and identity governance
  • Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical business stakeholders
  • Experience delivering access audit reports and remediation documentation
