The Security Advisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating physical security efforts across the organization, at all AFNA locations. This role involves developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the safety of employees and assets.
Job Responsibility:
Identify and recommend cost‑effective security controls based on risk, not uniform spend
Support vendor selection, performance management, and contract optimization
Reduce financial exposure from theft, vandalism, workplace violence, and operational disruption
Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures
Manage and coordinate security operations to ensure the protection of employees and assets
Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments
Monitor security systems and respond to security incidents
Implement and coordinate crisis management and incident response activities
Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with security policies
Train and oversee contracted site security resources
Investigate security breaches and incidents
Prepare and present reports on security status and incidents
Stay updated with the latest security trends and technologies
Reduce the site security risk profile of the business
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a security management role
Proven experience in a security management role
Professional certifications such as Certified Security Manager (CSM), or equivalent is desired
Strong knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and systems
Strong people and communication skills and has demonstrated success in effectively working across functions
Strategic thinker with proven track record in quickly gaining credibility and partnering collaboratively with leaders across the organization
