Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and dependable Security Administrator Intern to manage user access, credentials, and routine security operations across various business systems. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to maintain security integrity across multiple platforms. This role is critical in ensuring that company systems remain secure, compliant, and efficiently managed.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage, reset, and update passwords and credentials across key business tools (1Password, Google Workspace, Slack, HubSpot, AWS, etc.)
  • Ensure all credentials are securely stored and rotated according to internal security protocols
  • Add, remove, and modify user access and permissions across various systems
  • Maintain appropriate access controls based on user roles and department needs
  • Respond to and resolve security-related support requests in a timely manner
  • Perform hands-on system changes as needed and escalate complex issues to the Security Director
  • Set up accounts for new employees and revoke access for departing team members in accordance with security policies
  • Ensure a smooth onboarding/offboarding experience while maintaining strict security compliance
  • Monitor systems for unusual or suspicious activity
  • Report and escalate potential security incidents to the Security Director
  • Maintain detailed logs and documentation of all access changes, credential updates, and security-related actions
  • Support internal audits and compliance checks by ensuring accurate and up-to-date records

Requirements

  • IT administration, user access management, or related security operations
  • Authentication methods, account provisioning, and access control best practices
  • Managing systems such as Google Workspace, Slack, HubSpot, AWS, or 1Password
  • Maintaining organized and detailed documentation
  • Handling sensitive data with confidentiality and professionalism
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and escalation procedures
  • A dual monitor setup is required (at least 8GB of RAM)
  • Must have at least 25 MBPS internet speed
