Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Securities Research Associate to provide support in editing and publishing functions within the Global Research and Economics Group in Wells Fargo Securities, generate research packet products, maintain databases, and assist with M&A deal execution and capital market transactions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide support in editing and publishing functions within the Global Research and Economics Group
  • Generate research packet products and post research documents to market data vendors
  • Update and maintain mailing lists and provide client access to web sites
  • Assign reports to Editors and Supervisory Analysts
  • Maintain databases
  • Assist on work streams for M&A buyside or sell-side deal execution
  • Assist in preparing pitchbook components including industry overviews, company profiles, management biographies
  • Assist in equity and debt capital raising transactions
  • Work on comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, buyer or target identification
  • Work on financial analysis, industry benchmarking and valuation models
  • Develop understanding of sector's key performance and valuation indicators
  • Develop excellent working knowledge of market databases
  • Interact with multiple stakeholders to achieve desired goals

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of Securities Research experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • MBA or master's in finance from a premier education institute with 2+ years of relevant work experience with good understanding of Industrials sub-sectors
  • Strong inclination towards building a career in Corporate Finance, Investment Banking or Capital Markets
  • Good understanding of financial concepts and company valuation techniques
  • Strong logical, analytical skills and a systematic problem-solving approach
  • Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office Applications – Power Point and Excel
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to ensure high quality deliverables
  • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management
  • Results driven, accountable and ability to work with multiple priorities in a fast-paced and results-driven environment

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of database tools – FactSet, Thomson one, Capital IQ, Factiva, and Bloomberg
  • Ability to provide innovative ideas to efficiently execute the tasks
  • Ability to identify proactive ways to contribute to firm's goals & mission
