Job Description:

Working closely with the US deal team on M&A deal executions, pitchbooks, valuations, peer analysis, opportunity analysis, and other industry-related materials with significant opportunities to learn, develop and work as an integral member of the business.

Job Responsibility:

Provide support in editing and publishing functions within the Global Research and Economics Group
Generate research packet products and post research documents to market data vendors
Update and maintain mailing lists and provide client access to web sites
Assign reports to Editors and Supervisory Analysts
Maintain databases
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Work on various work streams that form key components of M&A deals

Requirements:

2+ years of Securities Research experience or equivalent through work experience, training, military experience, or education
Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office applications, especially Power Point and Excel
Knowledge of database tools – FactSet, Merger market, Dealogic, Thomson One, Capital IQ, Factiva, and Bloomberg
Impeccable communication and interpersonal relationship skills
Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Attention to detail and ability to ensure high quality of deliverables
2+ years of experience with strong knowledge of accounting and financial concepts
Outstanding academic qualifications – MBA, CA or MS Finance from a premier institute

Nice to have:

Knowledge of investment banking concepts including M&A as a product
CFA certification
Experience working on M&A Buy or Sell side deals
Experience preparing Pitch books, comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis
Experience with financial analysis, industry benchmarking and valuation models (DCF, LBO, football field, merger model and analysis)
