Job Description:

Securities Research Analyst for Corporate & Investment Banking to deliver comprehensive suite of capital markets, banking, and financial products and services. The role is with Financial Sponsors Group for client coverage that includes family offices, financial sponsors, international pensions and sovereign wealth funds.

Job Responsibility:

Provide support in editing and publishing functions within Global Research and Economics Group
Post research documents to market data vendors, update mailing lists, and provide web site access to clients and vendors
Support the creation of research packets
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Exercise independent judgment while developing knowledge of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

Requirements:

6+ months of Securities Investment research, financial services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
Investment banking experience of 6+ months post graduation
Strong knowledge of accounting and financial concepts
Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office Applications - Power Point and Excel
Knowledge of database tools - FactSet, Thomson one, PitchBook, Capital IQ, Factiva, and Bloomberg
Impeccable communication and interpersonal relationship skills with the ability to interact with senior professionals and key stakeholders
Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Attention to detail and ability to ensure high quality of deliverables
Ability to provide innovative ideas to efficiently execute the tasks

Nice to have:

Experience preparing pitch books, industry overviews, detailed company profiles, management biographies
Experience with comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, company/M&A screening
Experience with LBO modelling and detailed IRR analysis
Ability to train and guide junior analysts
Experience maintaining sponsor databases and analyzing entry/exit analysis for sponsors
