Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Securities Operations Specialist to participate in low to moderately complex lifecycle support initiatives and identify opportunity for process improvements within Securities Operations. The role involves reviewing and analyzing basic or tactical functional operational tasks, providing recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex situations, and developing expertise in various operational processes including client account onboarding, cash payments, customer service, funding operations, custodial operations, securities settlement services, structured loan operations, and general ledger reconciliation.

Job Responsibility:

Perform daily Trade surveillance related reconciliation for CIB Products
Reviewing Trade surveillance alerts and conducting analysis of trading and market activity
Analyze risk across markets by monitoring price/volume movement
Ensure that surveillance reviews are being performed properly
Review of surveillance exceptions with Regions, business personnel and middle office
Participate in periodic risk assessments
Independently lead and drive projects from a surveillance perspective
Prepare MI reporting and ensure accurate & timely reporting
Identify, facilitate and implement process improvement ideas
Conducting alert-based reviews for potential violations of laws, rules, and regulations
Work along with peers, handle multiple reports, engage in result-oriented tasks
Assist with Audit and Operations inquiries
Follow up on inquiries submitted by various lines of business
Work closely with Oversight, Technology and Production Support team to resolve issues

Requirements:

2+ years of Securities Operations experience
Bachelor's degree in commerce or master's in business administration with finance stream
Prior trade surveillance experience with minimum 8 years of overall experience
Experience with SMARTS, Actimize or similar Trade surveillance systems
Experience with navigation and sourcing of information in Bloomberg/public sources
Product experience with exchange traded products and/or information barriers/Asset management
Understanding of markets and potential market manipulative behavior
Experience with reviewing trading activity for Compliance
Familiarity with securities laws and regulations
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals and work under pressure
Detail oriented, results driven
Ability to navigate in a quickly changing and high demand environment
Ability to research and report on a variety of issues using problem solving skills
Proficiency with the use of various types of automation
Effective oral and written communication skills
Open to any shifts

Nice to have:

Experience with SMARTS, Actimize or similar Trade surveillance systems
Experience with navigation and sourcing of information in Bloomberg/public sources
