Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Securities Operations Associate to participate in lifecycle support tasks, handle reconciliation processes for financial instruments, collaborate with team members, and resolve issues in a fast-paced trade environment.

Job Responsibility:

Participate in low complexity lifecycle support tasks and identify opportunities for process improvements
Review basic issues, policies, or procedures related to low-risk tasks
Provide information to and collaborate with peers, colleagues, and managers
Build expertise in operational processes including client account onboarding, cash payments, customer service, funding operations, custodial operations, securities settlement services, structured loan operations, and general ledger reconciliation
Assist in gathering data to support resolution of issues
Research low complexity business risks and provide input into policies
Monitor daily securities and cash-related production work
Contribute to implementation of projects, new or revised processes, and procedures
Support overall team effectiveness

Requirements:

6+ months of Securities Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
Knowledge of Trade Life Cycle
Strong understanding of financial instruments like cash, bond, and equity, and reconciliation in brokerage and trust environment
Knowledge on the front-to-back flow and importance of reconciliation process
Experience in performing various reconcilements of inter-system
Detail-oriented, results-driven, and capable of balancing multiple priorities in a high-demand environment
Thorough knowledge of reconciliation
Ability to research and resolve issues using problem-solving skills
Open to US shifts

Nice to have:

Basic or intermediate Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Understanding of accounting fundamentals as they relate to subsystem reconciliation
Ability to analyze multiple system source data
