Job Description:

The Securities & Derivatives Manager is an intermediate management position responsible for providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees in processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices. The role ensures seamless delivery of securities and derivatives transactions, contributes to team productivity, mitigates risk, and enhances overall processes.

Job Responsibility:

  • execute securities transaction processing related to Securities Clearance Settlement for local and global bonds, FX, money markets, and Derivatives Operations
  • formulate procedures, techniques, and contribute to the development of new techniques that increase team productivity
  • ensure entire team meets or exceeds performance goals
  • propose solutions to implement settlement process improvements, client service enhancements, or overall technology enhancements
  • serve as an analytical and procedural expert, and as first point of escalation for staff members, management, and internal/external clients
  • escalate control gaps and issues to senior management as needed
  • identify control gaps during settlement cycle and implement appropriate solutions to mitigate any risk or control losses
  • analyze data to identify control deficiencies and resolve discovered issues through implementing appropriate procedures
  • act as an advisor to new/junior staff
  • assess risk when business decisions are made, safeguarding Citigroup and its clients

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • experience in a securities transactions processing role
  • project leadership and management
  • strong knowledge of payments structure under standard ISO 20022
  • in-depth knowledge of settlement cycle concepts and procedures to resolve settlement issues
  • previous people management experience
  • consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • intermediate to advanced writing and speaking skills in English
  • university degree or equivalent experience

Nice to have:

  • knowledge or experience in fixed income (FI) and bonds
  • knowledge of ISO 20022
