Job Description

The Securities & Derivatives Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations- Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to facilitate the clearance, settlement, and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of accuracy and efficiency. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop a deep understanding of financial products, gain exposure to multiple platforms, and build a career within a global financial services leader.

Job Responsibility

  • Confirm and settle client securities/cash transactions accurately
  • Process internal and external asset transfers
  • Manage cash payments and bookkeeping for liquidity
  • Act as client contact for inquiries and transaction reporting
  • Resolve discrepancies with internal and external partners
  • Escalate and collaborate on complex transaction issues
  • Monitor transactions to mitigate operational/financial risk
  • Perform daily/monthly account reconciliations and resolve breaks
  • Assess risk, ensure compliance, and apply ethical judgment
  • Generate management reports for regulatory and internal needs
  • Identify and implement process automation and control improvements
  • Assist with new system testing and product launch readiness (e.g., Aladdin)

Requirements

  • Up to 2 years of relevant experience in Financial Services, Operations, or a related field
  • A fundamental understanding of Treasury products, accounting principles, and financial market regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to perform various concurrent activities and projects in a high-risk, fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills with a high attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • A proactive and results-oriented mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (experience with macros, and data analysis is a plus)

Nice to have

Experience with financial systems such as Aladdin is considered an advantage.
