Job Description

Our client a Tier 1 Main Contractor are seeking a Package Manager / Section Manager to join the team on a new build energy centre at an existing hospital. The project will be state-of-the-art and has been designed to support the hospitals existing infrastructure more efficiently and sustainably. Initially needed to look after the building facade and cladding, some industrial shed experience would be ideal as a result. Will be required to manage additional blockwork and partition packages, an eye for detail from drawings through to managing the build elements would be required.

Job Responsibility

  • Overseeing the design, coordination and leadership of a number of sub-contractors employed in a variety of trades within the respective area of works
  • Initially focusing on the building envelope and then transitioning to fit out packages
  • High level of interfacing between internal departments and external agencies such as architects, engineers, sub-contractors and client agents
  • Review and manage numerous packages for your designated area including tender information produced by design teams

Requirements

  • Main contractor construction experience
  • Must have previous experience managing packages on Multi-million construction projects and overseeing progress, quality assurance and supply chain
  • Experience of managing multiple engineering and /or trade packages
  • Experience in procurement of packages during the PSCA Stage

Nice to have

  • Experience in Healthcare projects would be a bonus
  • Experience of carrying out the Lift Supervisor role and holding a A62 card would be a bonus
  • Some industrial shed experience would be ideal
