Section Engineer

• Support the Project Lead in completing complex work on time, within budget, and to high standards
• Enforce a zero-tolerance policy for unsafe work to ensure everyone stays safe on-site
• Create clear, short-term schedules to keep daily site activities on track
• Lead both internal staff and external contractors to ensure high-quality technical work
• Track budgets and staffing levels while providing clear reports on project progress
• Work with clients and designers early on to make sure plans are practical and buildable
• Turn design documents into clear "to-do" lists so the team can get accurate prices for materials and labor
• Use digital tools and off-site manufacturing to make construction smarter and safer

• A solid background in delivering major Power or Civil Engineering projects
• Strong leadership in site safety and managing environmental risks
• A deep understanding of how to balance project costs, timing, and quality
• Practical experience managing contractors and overseeing construction quality
• Specific knowledge of Temporary Works and Design & Build contracts
• A degree in Civil Engineering or a completed higher-level apprenticeship with significant on-the-job experience
• Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK
