Job Description

Our client, a large government systems integrator located in Hampton, VA, is looking to hire an onsite Secret cleared Network Support Engineer for a 12-month contract. The consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting secure enterprise network infrastructure supporting coalition information sharing and mission-critical operations.

Job Responsibility

  • designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting secure enterprise network infrastructure supporting coalition information sharing and mission-critical operations
  • network engineering, routing and switching, firewalls, VPNs, multicast, data center networking, and supporting Cisco, Juniper, F5, and High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE) technologies

Requirements

  • 5+ years of network engineering experience
  • An active Secret Clearance (TS/SCI preferred)
  • CCNA certification
  • Knowledge and experience supporting COMSEC accounts
  • Knowledge and experience with current Juniper JUNOS software and hardware
  • Knowledge and experience with current Cisco IOS, IOS-XE and NXOS software and hardware
  • Knowledge and experience with Firepower Management Center and Firepower Threat Defense
  • Ability to configure and troubleshoot DMVPN and GRE tunnels
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in fast-paced DoD environments
  • Occasional short-term travel within the AFRICOM AOR may be required
