Join our secondary school network as a Teaching Assistant and help students navigate the academic and social challenges of high school. A Career Built on Mentorship, Not Just Supervision We are seeking dedicated Secondary Support Assistants to work across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. This role is the perfect foundation for future teachers, social workers, or educational psychologists who want to gain "boots-on-the-ground" experience in a fast-paced secondary environment. Mentorship Role: Act as a positive role model, helping teenagers build the resilience, organisation, and confidence they need to succeed. Work-Life Balance: Enjoy typical school hours with no "take-home" marking or weekend commitments-perfect for maintaining your own studies or hobbies. Weekly Pay: Competitive daily rates of £92.56 - £95, paid every Friday via Randstad. Your Role as an Educational Mentor As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you aren't just an extra pair of hands; you are a vital link between the student and the curriculum. Targeted Interventions: Lead small "breakout" groups or 1:1 sessions for students who need extra support with literacy, numeracy, or specific subject coursework. In-Class Support: Work alongside subject teachers to manage classroom dynamics, ensuring that students with additional needs (SEND) can access the lesson. Pastoral Care: Assist with emotional regulation and social skills, helping students navigate the complexities of secondary school life.
