Job Description:

This role involves supporting pupils through their educational journey, working alongside experienced teachers to promote academic confidence and growth. It includes structured learning sessions, supporting SEN and SEMH pupils, and adjusting tasks to suit their individual needs. Ideal for aspiring teachers seeking experience before pursuing teacher training.

Job Responsibility:

Working alongside the teacher to effectively deliver the lesson
supporting pupils in 1:1 and small group intervention sessions
reviewing pupil performance and working with teachers to create action plans to improve learning
may involve supporting SEN and SEMH pupils (ASD, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression etc)

Requirements:

Degree or equivalent qualifications
have a passion for education and supporting young people
previous experience working alongside young people is required
be able to effectively work within a team and maintain positive relationships
be confident and have experience working with those with challenging behaviour (SEN or SEMH needs)
