Secondary Teaching Assistant | Academic & Pastoral Support | Local Secondary Schools. Position: Full-Time, Long-Term (Term Time Only). Salary: £88.92 - £100 per day (Weekly Pay - dependent on experience). Start Date: Immediate / Next Term. We are seeking dedicated Secondary Support Assistants to work across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. This role is the perfect foundation for future teachers, social workers, or educational psychologists who want to gain boots-on-the-ground experience in a fast-paced secondary environment.
Job Responsibility
Lead small breakout groups or 1:1 sessions for students who need extra support
Work alongside subject teachers to manage classroom dynamics, ensuring students with additional needs can access the lesson
Assist with emotional regulation and social skills
Act as a reader or scribe for students during mock exams and assessments
Use academic strengths to help students grasp complex concepts and improve their GCSE prospects
Act as a positive role model
Requirements
