Job Description

Are you a qualified educator who loves the challenge of secondary teaching but wants to leave the marking and meetings behind? Join our secondary network as a Supply Teacher and inspire students across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5. We are seeking Qualified Secondary Teachers (QTS/ECTs) to provide high-quality cover across various departments. Whether you are a specialist in English, Maths, Science, PE, or the Humanities, this role allows you to focus on high-impact teaching without the 'take-home' stress of a permanent contract.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons with confidence, ensuring that students in Years 7-13 continue to make progress against the National Curriculum
  • Utilise sophisticated behaviour management strategies to maintain a focused and productive learning environment for teenagers
  • Adapt the delivery of materials on the fly to support students with SEND or to stretch higher-attaining pupils at Key Stage 4
  • Provide concise, high-quality feedback to the department head to ensure seamless continuity for the student's regular teacher

  • Hold QTS
  • Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification (ECTs are encouraged to apply)
  • Are Subject Confident
  • Have a deep understanding of your specialist subject and a general ability to cover other areas of the secondary curriculum
  • Are Resilient & Engaging
  • Can walk into a new classroom and quickly build rapport with teenagers through subject passion and firm boundaries
  • Are Committed
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or are willing to apply) and are 100% dedicated to Safeguarding
