Secondary Supply Teacher – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Potters Bar and the surrounding areas, delivering high‑quality learning experiences across a range of subjects.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver engaging lessons across the secondary curriculum using provided plans
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual learners
  • Assess and record pupil progress where required
  • Communicate effectively with school staff and contribute to wider school life during longer-term placements

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of the secondary curriculum
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Adaptable across different departments and school environments
  • Positive and professional approach to supporting pupil learning
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
