Job Description

We are seeking Qualified Secondary Teachers (QTS/ECTs) to provide high-quality cover across various departments. Whether you are a specialist in English, Maths, Science, PE, or the Humanities, this role allows you to focus on high-impact teaching without the "take-home" stress of a permanent contract. Academic Flexibility: Teach your specialist subject at GCSE or A-Level, while also having the opportunity to cover a broad range of subjects across the school. Job Responsibility

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons with confidence, ensuring that students in Years 7-13 continue to make progress against the National Curriculum
  • Utilise sophisticated behaviour management strategies to maintain a focused and productive learning environment for teenagers
  • Adapt the delivery of materials on the fly to support students with SEND or to stretch higher-attaining pupils at Key Stage 4
  • Provide concise, high-quality feedback to the department head to ensure seamless continuity for the student's regular teacher

Requirements

  • Hold QTS: You have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification (ECTs are encouraged to apply)
  • Are Subject Confident: You have a deep understanding of your specialist subject and a general ability to cover other areas of the secondary curriculum
  • Are Resilient & Engaging: You can walk into a new classroom and quickly build rapport with teenagers through subject passion and firm boundaries
  • Are Committed: You hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or are willing to apply) and are 100% dedicated to Safeguarding
