Job Description

Secondary Supply Teacher | Subject Specialist | Local Secondary Schools. Position: Full-Time or Part-Time, Flexible (Term Time Only). Salary: £140 - £233 per day (Weekly Pay - dependent on experience). Start Date: Immediate / Next Term. Are you a qualified educator who loves the challenge of secondary teaching but wants to leave the marking and meetings behind? Join our secondary network as a Supply Teacher and inspire students across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons with confidence, ensuring that students in Years 7-13 continue to make progress against the National Curriculum
  • Utilise sophisticated behaviour management strategies to maintain a focused and productive learning environment for teenagers
  • Adapt the delivery of materials on the fly to support students with SEND or to stretch higher-attaining pupils at Key Stage 4
  • Provide concise, high-quality feedback to the department head to ensure seamless continuity for the student's regular teacher

Requirements

  • Hold QTS: You have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification (ECTs are encouraged to apply)
  • Are Subject Confident: You have a deep understanding of your specialist subject and a general ability to cover other areas of the secondary curriculum
  • Are Resilient & Engaging: You can walk into a new classroom and quickly build rapport with teenagers through subject passion and firm boundaries
  • Are Committed: You hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or are willing to apply) and are 100% dedicated to Safeguarding
