Job Description:

A specialist SEND school for Secondary aged pupils with Complex Needs and PMLD are looking for a qualified and experienced SEND teacher to join them on a full-time contract basis for the academic year. This specialist Secondary school is for children aged 11 to 19 with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), Autism (ASD) and complex medical needs. The school provides an outstanding learning environment that meets the needs of all pupils, while empowering and inspiring them to achieve their full potential.

Job Responsibility:

Teaching in key stage 3 pupils who are SLD, PMLD and/or Complex Needs learners
Supported by a team of experienced teaching assistants to deliver highly personalised teaching and learning, therapy programmes and personal care
Support from senior leadership and access to regular CPD training

Requirements:

Experience of PMLD / SLD /complex needs
A creative and caring approach
Confident working in of a large inter-disciplinary team alongside medical and therapy staff
