Job Description

Secondary SEND Teacher | Specialist Subject Lead | Local SEN Schools. Position: Full-Time or Part-Time, Flexible (Term Time Only). Salary: £140 - £233 per day (Weekly Pay - dependent on experience). Start Date: Immediate / Next Term. Are you a dedicated educator passionate about bridging the gap between education and independence? Join our specialist network as a Secondary SEND Teacher and empower young people to navigate the transition into adulthood. Empowering Independence: Impact Beyond the Classroom. We are seeking Qualified Secondary Teachers (QTS/QTLS) or experienced Primary practitioners ready to transition into Specialist Secondary Provision. In this role, you'll move beyond traditional academic benchmarks to focus on functional literacy, numeracy, and the 'Preparation for Adulthood' framework.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver engaging lessons that translate academic concepts into real-world skills-budgeting, travel training, and workplace communication
  • Use total communication strategies (Makaton, PECS, or AAC) tailored to teenage learners
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language specialists
  • Manage a dedicated team of Learning Support Assistants
  • fostering a low-arousal and emotionally regulated environment for students with complex needs
