Secondary SEND Teacher | Specialist Subject Lead | Local SEN Schools. Position: Full-Time or Part-Time, Flexible (Term Time Only). Salary: £140 - £233 per day (Weekly Pay - dependent on experience). Start Date: Immediate / Next Term. Are you a dedicated educator passionate about bridging the gap between education and independence? Join our specialist network as a Secondary SEND Teacher and empower young people to navigate the transition into adulthood.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver engaging lessons translating academic concepts into real-world skills
  • Use total communication strategies tailored to teenage learners
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language specialists
  • Manage a dedicated team of Learning Support Assistants
  • Foster a low-arousal and emotionally regulated environment for students with complex needs

Requirements

  • QTS/QTLS
  • Experience within a Secondary or specialist setting
  • Genuine interest in or experience with Autism (ASC), PMLD, SLD, or SEMH
  • Ability to manage complex behaviours with a trauma-informed approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
  • Commitment to Safeguarding
