Professional Growth: Develop expertise in EHCP management for adolescents, working alongside vocational coaches and transition specialists.
Job Responsibility:
Functional Learning: Deliver engaging lessons that translate academic concepts into real-world skills-budgeting, travel training, and workplace communication
Communication & Expression: Use total communication strategies (Makaton, PECS, or AAC) tailored to teenage learners to ensure their voices are heard during their transition years
Holistic Support: Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language specialists to integrate therapeutic targets into a secondary-appropriate timetable
Leadership: Manage a dedicated team of Learning Support Assistants, fostering a 'low-arousal' and emotionally regulated environment for students with complex needs
