Join our specialist network as a Secondary SEND Teacher and empower young people to navigate the transition into adulthood. We are seeking Qualified Secondary Teachers (QTS/QTLS) or experienced Primary practitioners ready to transition into Specialist Secondary Provision. In this role, you'll move beyond traditional academic benchmarks to focus on functional literacy, numeracy, and the "Preparation for Adulthood" framework.
Job Responsibility:
Deliver engaging lessons that translate academic concepts into real-world skills-budgeting, travel training, and workplace communication
Use total communication strategies (Makaton, PECS, or AAC) tailored to teenage learners
Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language specialists
Manage a dedicated team of Learning Support Assistants
Requirements:
Hold QTS/QTLS
experience within a Secondary or specialist setting
genuine interest in or experience with Autism (ASC), PMLD, SLD, or SEMH
passion for helping young people reach their full potential
manage complex behaviours with a trauma-informed approach
enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
