Job Description:

Secondary SEND Teacher | Specialist Subject Lead | Local SEN Schools. Position: Full-Time or Part-Time, Flexible (Term Time Only). Salary: £140 - £233 per day (Weekly Pay - dependent on experience). Start Date: Immediate / Next Term. Are you a dedicated educator passionate about bridging the gap between education and independence? Join our specialist network as a Secondary SEND Teacher and empower young people to navigate the transition into adulthood.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver functional literacy, numeracy, and life-skills curriculum
  • use total communication strategies (Makaton, PECS, AAC)
  • collaborate with Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language specialists
  • manage Learning Support Assistants
  • foster a low-arousal, emotionally regulated environment

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS
  • experience in a Secondary or specialist setting
  • genuine interest or experience with Autism (ASC), PMLD, SLD, or SEMH
  • ability to manage complex behaviours with a trauma-informed approach
  • enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply
  • commitment to Safeguarding
