Job Description:

Secondary SEND Teacher | Specialist Subject Lead | Local SEN Schools. Position: Full-Time or Part-Time, Flexible (Term Time Only). Salary: £140 - £233 per day (Weekly Pay - dependent on experience). Start Date: Immediate / Next Term. Are you a dedicated educator passionate about bridging the gap between education and independence? Join our specialist network as a Secondary SEND Teacher and empower young people to navigate the transition into adulthood.

Job Responsibility:

  • Functional Learning: deliver engaging lessons that translate academic concepts into real-world skills-budgeting, travel training, and workplace communication
  • Communication & Expression: use total communication strategies (Makaton, PECS, or AAC) tailored to teenage learners
  • Holistic Support: collaborate with Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language specialists
  • Leadership: manage a dedicated team of Learning Support Assistants

Requirements:

  • QTS/QTLS
  • experience within a Secondary or specialist setting
  • genuine interest in or experience with Autism (ASC), PMLD, SLD, or SEMH
  • enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
  • 100% dedicated to Safeguarding
