Job Description

Are you passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of young people with unique learning needs? We are thrilled to have opened a brand-new SEND Secondary School in September 2025, and we are looking for dedicated Teaching Assistants to join us at the very start of this journey. Based in Chaldon, Surrey, this school supports students aged 11-16 who require specialised assistance with social communication, emotional regulation, and sensory processing-typically associated with Autism.

Requirements

  • GCSE Maths and English (Level 2)
  • Level 2 award in supporting teaching and learning (or willingness to work toward one)
  • Previous SEND experience is desirable
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Competent ICT ability

  • Satisfactory Enhanced DBS check
  • Eligibility to work in the UK

  • Work across five specialist sites – Infants, Juniors, Secondary, Sixth Form, and Alternative Provision – giving you diverse exposure to different age groups and developmental stages
  • Receive ongoing training and mentoring, including Team Teach and Trauma-Informed Practice, to complement your academic studies
  • Build transferable skills in observation, intervention, and tailored support that will strengthen applications for postgraduate study or careers in clinical, educational, or occupational psychology
  • Supporting pupils with a wide range of needs, including: Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Complex Needs
