Randstad Education is on the lookout for dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistants to support the children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Learning Difficulties and Complex needs. As a Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant for, you will acts as the bridge between the curriculum and a student's unique learning requirements. In this setting, "wins" are measured by growing independence whether that is a student gaining the confidence to contribute to a class discussion or successfully managing the transition between subject blocks. We are looking for professional, steady individuals who can provide the consistent support these students need to flourish.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure a calm and safe environment for the SEN children
Act as bridge between the teacher and the students
Adapting complex lessons to match the learning level of the students
Help students stay focused on their work
Encourage students to try new tasks
Help them in socialising with others, developing their life skills
Monitor the progress of the SEN children and communicate with the teacher and parents
Requirements:
Expreince handling special needs children is must
Eligibility to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingess to apply)
Two professional references
Ability to work full time Monday to Friday between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm
