Job Description

We are seeking Qualified Science Teachers (QTS/ECTs) to provide specialist cover across a variety of secondary settings. This role allows you to focus on delivering high-impact lessons without the burden of departmental data tracking or weekend marking.

Job Responsibility

  • Facilitate engaging demonstrations and theory-based lessons
  • Support examination cohorts with targeted preparation for GCSE and A-Level
  • Maintain a disciplined and safe learning environment
  • Differentiate complex concepts to support students with SEND or EAL

Requirements

  • Holds QTS: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Has a degree in a Science-related field (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Combined Science), with a solid grasp of the KS3/KS4 National Curriculum
  • Is an engaging communicator
  • Can build rapport with teenagers
  • Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service (or are willing to apply)
  • Is committed to Safeguarding
