Job Description:

Seeking educators specializing in Physics, Chemistry, Earth Science, and Biology to teach at various academic levels. Responsibilities include designing an inclusive and responsive curriculum that meets all standards, including NYS and college-level concurrent enrollment requirements, while providing academic support across a range of science courses.

Job Responsibility:

Requirements:

  • Appropriate New York State Teacher Certification
  • For Grades 7-12: certification in General Science 7-12, Biology 7-12, Chemistry 7-12, Physics 7-12, or Earth Science 7-12 by the first date of employment
  • For 6th Grade: New York State Certification in Childhood Education 1-6
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
  • Licensed teachers from other states may qualify for reciprocity in New York State

  • Three (3) Letters of Reference (highly preferred for external candidates)
  • MANDATORY Writing Sample

Nice to have:

  • Additional certification for 6th Grade (preferred but not required)

  • Proven ability to interact effectively with students and their families who represent diverse cultures
  • Ability to implement culturally responsive curriculum
