Job Responsibility:
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality, engaging Maths lessons
Responsible for a full timetable of classes, ensuring exceptional progress and positive outcomes for all students aged 11-16
Use formative and summative assessment strategies to effectively guide student learning
Take full responsibility for the learning and achievement of all pupils in your classes, including planning, preparation, and detailed marking of complex mathematical work
Contribute to the development of engaging schemes of work in Maths
Assess student progress and provide timely feedback
Undertake a form tutor role
Actively participate in whole-school life and training
Requirements:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Mathematics (or a closely related quantitative field)
Possesses recent, demonstrable experience teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Maths, with a strong track record of securing excellent GCSE Maths results
Exhibits excellent classroom management and organisational skills, particularly in handling diverse learning needs in mathematics
Is passionate about their subject and committed to raising student attainment across all mathematical abilities
Demonstrates a strong understanding of the National Curriculum requirements for Maths at both KS3 and KS4
Is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
