An experienced and resilient QTS Secondary Maths Teacher is required for a specialist SEMH school in Wandsworth, supporting boys aged 5–19 with social, emotional, and mental health needs. Job Responsibility:
Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (potentially KS5 depending on experience)
Adapt teaching strategies to meet the complex SEMH needs of students
Foster a positive, structured, and safe learning environment
Work closely with support staff, therapists, and senior leaders to support student progress and wellbeing
Manage behaviour effectively using a trauma-informed approach
Requirements:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching Maths at secondary level
Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
Have experience working with SEMH, SEN, or challenging behaviour (desirable but not essential)
Be patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting vulnerable young people
