Job Description:

Secondary Learning Support Assistant position supporting young people through their academic journey, working with students across KS3 & KS4, particularly those with SEN needs including ASD, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties.

Job Responsibility:

Supporting identified students both inside and outside the classroom
Assisting in the development of resources, schemes of work and teaching strategies
Leading 1:1 and group support sessions for SEN pupils
Liaising with Teachers, SENCO and SLT regarding identified students
Assisting with preparing and creating resources for sessions
Assessing pupil progression regularly
Tailoring curriculum delivery to suit student needs

Requirements:

Degree in Psychology or a related subject from a reputable University
Previous experience working with young people with challenging behaviours
Experience managing young people with SEN needs (ASD, ADHD, SP&L etc)
Be an empathetic, caring and approachable person
Be a natural communicator who can work well in a wider team
