Job Description

King’s College School, Murcia is seeking a committed and knowledgeable Secondary History Teacher to join our Humanities Department from April on a temporary basis to cover a period of leave. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and rigorous History lessons aligned with the English National Curriculum.

Job Responsibility

  • Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons across the secondary age range
  • Assess, monitor and report on student progress effectively
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
  • Contribute to curriculum planning within the Humanities team
  • Support students’ academic and personal development
  • Participate in meetings, parents’ evenings and school events

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching History at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the English National Curriculum
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • A collaborative and professional approach to teaching
  • Availability to take up a temporary role from April
