Secondary English Teacher

• Teach English at Secondary level, delivering engaging and academically rigorous lessons
• Plan, prepare, and deliver instruction aligned with curriculum standards and departmental expectations
• Assess and track student progress, using data to inform planning and improve learning outcomes
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and creative classroom environment that encourages a love for literature and language
• Introduce students to a diverse range of texts and perspectives, promoting critical thinking and effective communication
• Use technology to support teaching, learning, and student engagement
• Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen curriculum planning, share best practices, and promote academic consistency
• Support pastoral responsibilities and contribute to school life through extracurricular activities, events, and wider community engagement
• Maintain clear communication with students, parents, and staff
• Participate in professional development and stay updated with best practice in English education

• Degree in English, Literature, Linguistics, Education, or a related field, plus a recognised teaching qualification
• Minimum of two years’ teaching experience at Secondary level
• Experience with international curricula such as IGCSE or IB is an advantage
• Strong pedagogical practice and excellent classroom management
• Ability to build engaging learning experiences that develop language proficiency and analytical skills
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within a team
• Passion for teaching and supporting students’ holistic development
• Native English proficiency is required
