Job Responsibility:
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality, engaging English Language and Literature lessons
Responsible for a full timetable of classes, ensuring exceptional progress and positive outcomes for all students aged 11-16
Use formative and summative assessment strategies to effectively guide student learning and prepare pupils for GCSE excellence
Take full responsibility for the learning and achievement of all pupils in your classes, including: Planning, preparation, and detailed marking
Contributing to the development of schemes of work
Assessing student progress and providing timely feedback
Undertaking a form tutor role
Actively participating in whole-school life and training
Requirements:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in English or a closely related field
Possesses recent, demonstrable experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
Exhibits excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Is passionate about literacy, literature, and communication, and is committed to raising student attainment
Demonstrates a strong understanding of the National Curriculum requirements
Is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
