Job Description:

Secondary Education Support Assistant - Liverpool Are you ready to facilitate breakthroughs in the classroom? We are seeking versatile Education Support Assistants to join our secondary school network exclusively across Liverpool. With the Summer Term 2026 reaching its most critical phase, we need energetic individuals to support KS3 and KS4 students during this transition period. Starting this May is the ultimate strategic move-it allows you to secure your reputation within a school now, often leading to guaranteed long-term contracts for the September 2026 academic year.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support learning by working with small groups or individuals to reinforce lesson objectives
  • Manage behaviour within the classroom to maintain a focused and positive environment
  • Prepare resources and set up equipment before lessons to ensure a smooth start
  • Safeguard pupils by following all school policies and child protection procedures
  • Assist the teacher with administrative tasks and the display of student work
  • Lead interventions for students requiring extra help with literacy or numeracy

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young adults with additional needs (SEN) or in a coaching/educational capacity
  • Strong communication, empathy, patience, and the ability to simplify complex tasks into manageable steps
  • An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one)
