Job Description:

The Secondary Curriculum Facilitator is responsible for collaboratively planning, organizing, facilitating, and developing activities and training related to curriculum, assessment, and instruction. The facilitator must be knowledgeable about curriculum, best teaching practices, and professional learning. This individual must be a strong presenter and be comfortable working with technology in both work production and professional learning. Must be able to lead, motivate, collaborate, build consensus, and communicate effectively.

Job Responsibility:

  • Maintains dependable and reliable attendance
  • Facilitates the work of multiple toolbox groups
  • Is a resource to building leaders in the area of curriculum implementation and best practices in teaching and learning
  • Facilitates the toolbox process & implementation of curriculum
  • collaborates with others to scale practices out to all staff
  • Facilitates secondary toolbox sessions and may participate in some elementary toolbox sessions
  • Participates in relevant technology meetings as necessary
  • Works collaboratively with others on the Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment team
  • Assists with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all curriculum and professional development activities
  • Coordinates and facilitates related meetings and events, including District ACT prep courses for students
  • Assists in the planning processes for teaching and learning
  • Supports the ongoing professional learning of new staff
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Masters Degree preferred
  • Nebraska Department of Education Certified Teacher teaching endorsement
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a classroom teacher
