Are you a highly motivated and qualified Secondary Teacher seeking a rewarding, permanent opportunity to inspire the next generation of digital innovators? We are looking for an exceptional Computer Science practitioner to join our successful and forward-thinking secondary school. This full-time post is ideal for a dedicated professional ready to take ownership of their own classes and contribute fully to the departmental success within Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality, engaging lessons in Computer Science
  • Responsible for a full timetable of classes, ensuring exceptional progress and positive outcomes for all students aged 11-16
  • Guide students through the complexities of computational thinking, programming, and digital literacy
  • Use formative and summative assessment strategies effectively to guide student learning toward strong GCSE outcomes
  • Take full responsibility for the learning and achievement of all pupils in your classes, including planning, preparation, and detailed marking
  • Contribute to the development of schemes of work for the Computer Science curriculum
  • Assess student progress and providing timely feedback to drive improvement
  • Undertake a form tutor role
  • Actively participating in whole-school life and training

Requirements:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Computer Science or a closely related field
  • Possesses recent, demonstrable experience teaching Computer Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Exhibits excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Is passionate about their subject and committed to raising student attainment in Computing
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of the National Curriculum requirements for Computer Science
  • Is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
