Job Responsibility:
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality, engaging lessons in Computer Science
Responsible for a full timetable of classes, ensuring exceptional progress and positive outcomes for all students aged 11-16
Guide students through the complexities of computational thinking, programming, and digital literacy
Use formative and summative assessment strategies effectively to guide student learning toward strong GCSE outcomes
Take full responsibility for the learning and achievement of all pupils in your classes, including planning, preparation, and detailed marking
Contributing to the development of schemes of work for the Computer Science curriculum
Assessing student progress and providing timely feedback to drive improvement
Undertaking a form tutor role
Actively participating in whole-school life and training
Requirements:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Computer Science or a closely related field
Possesses recent, demonstrable experience teaching Computer Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
Exhibits excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Is passionate about their subject and committed to raising student attainment in Computing
Demonstrates a strong understanding of the National Curriculum requirements for Computer Science
Is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
