Job Description:

We are searching for energetic and resilient individuals to join our secondary school support teams in Birkenhead. This is a perfect role for someone who is organised, firm, but fair, and ready to help students succeed. We offer both day to day and long term supply with a competitive salary.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing classroom resources to ensure every student has the tools to learn
  • Helping students stay on task during independent study periods
  • Breaking down complex project instructions into manageable "mini-tasks"
  • Promoting positive behaviour by rewarding focused work with verbal praise
  • Assisting the teacher with the digital recording of attendance and progress
  • Leading small "catch-up" sessions for students who have missed lessons
  • Helping maintain a tidy, inspiring, and safe classroom environment

Requirements:

  • Previous work in childcare, schools, youth coaching, or community volunteering is preferred
  • Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset
  • A genuine desire to help teenagers grow academically and socially
